High School Boys Playing Time Policy
The High School Boys team is a Varsity Level Sport. Some years we do not have enough new or developing players to field a Junior Varsity Team. The playing time allotted in games is based on the coaching staff’s determination of a player’s athletic ability, skill, experience, age and level of development. All players are not created equal. There are varying levels of these factors among all the players on the team in any given year. As a result, playing time in a Varsity level game may be limited for some players. The goal of the team is to help these players develop with practice time and game time when possible. The hope in any given year is to have enough players to allow some scheduling of Junior Varsity level games or scrimmage games against other clubs in order to allow the younger, less skilled/experienced developing players some game type experience. The Club and the coaching staff will do their best to try and make this happen but there are no guarantees.
If a player has a question about his playing time the player only should follow the procedure listed below in steps 1 and 2. This procedure pertains to playing time only.
1. See the position coach or assistant coach and ask him why, and what he needs to do in order to get on the field more during games.
2. If he is not satisfied with the answer the player only should ask the head coach to sit down with him and his position coach and discuss any issues and concern.
If the player and his parents remain unsatisfied after the player first follows steps 1 and 2, Club Policy does not allow parents to address the coaches regarding their player except for "good game, my child won't be there they are sick or injured, thanks for coaching" or similar positive or informative comments. If you have an issue with the coach, or coaching staff, playing time, etc. you MUST first email a grievance to the Club President addressing your concerns and try and resolve them. If, in your opinion, the resolution does not sufficiently remedy the situation, then you have the option to request a meeting with the coach by sending your request to the Club President to request a coach’s meeting with the Club President or another designated Club Board Member present. Our coaches generously give their uncompensated time and energy to our program and our kids. They shall be treated with respect and will be protected from any type of harassment, threats, or verbal abuse. As a reminder league rules do not permit parents, family members, friends, etc. to be on the field/sidelines near the coaches and players.
Equipment Rental Policy
Important Information for Lacrosse families.

Starting in 2022 USA Lacrosse requires that all players wear new chest protectors as part of their equipment. In the past we have had a very generous equipment lending policy for our youth players. This included helmets, sticks, chest protectors, gloves and elbow pads.

Much of our inventory of this equipment is now depleted or unavailable due to the obsolescence of chest pads, wear and tear and non-return of the equipment.

Due to the financial constraints placed upon our Club by purchasing an entire new inventory of the new chest protectors we want to make sure that families know and understand our equipment policy for the upcoming season.

We purchased enough equipment to fully outfit our younger 2-4 and 5-6 youth teams. We will charge a non-refundable seasonal rental fee to any player who needs a piece of gear to partially offset our costs.

Goalie gear and sticks will not be charged a rental fee for the gear borrowed. For other teams, the maximum seasonal rental fee for a bundle of all necessary gear is $75. Other accommodations may also be made by talking with the player's coach. The Club will invoice the rental fee once the gear is chosen and checked out by the player.

We will charge for full replacement value for any items that are not returned to us at the end of the season. All registrants acknowledge that if equipment is not returned we will invoice for the replacement value of the equipment.

In years past we have made equipment available to our 7-8 team and HS teams on a case-by-case basis. Due to financial constraints, we are much more limited in what we can offer this upcoming season for the 7-8 and HS players. We may still be able to offer gear to the HS and 7-8 teams on a much more limited case-by-case basis, with the 2-4 and 5-6 teams having priority. If you are registering a 7-8 or HS player please be aware of this.

We know getting into the sport of lacrosse can be a financial challenge for some families. This is why we make rental gear available for our younger team players to be able to try the sport and not have a large financial outlay in the early years.

We encourage families to donate any gently used sticks, helmets, gloves, and elbow pads that still have a good life in them.

We encourage anyone who wishes to make a financial donation to the club to do so in order to help offset our equipment costs.
If any player wishes to purchase their own gear and can financially do so, we still encourage those families to do this in order to free up our resources for the kids and families who have a real need.

All Chest Protectors that meet the NOCSAE standard, ND200, must be certified by the independent Safety Equipment Institute and have the NOCSAE standard certification label.

Beware when purchasing "discounted" chest pads from websites. We are aware of several websites that are selling cheaper pads that are old models that do not meet the NOCSAE standards for 2022 and beyond.
